everyone is podcasting. it's overwhelming how many shows and episodes there are to choose from. also, the ux on apple's podcasting app is terrible drive me insane.

however, i have found some kickass shows and episodes that i love. below are a few that i've enjoyed over the last year on pregnancy/birth/parenting. i have recommended these to other moms and also to friends who just found out they are pregnant. everything from identity shifts, to body changes, to baby tips....

1. goop: 'postpartum anxiety and the motherhood shift' -- this is by far my favorite podcast episode i listened to while i was early in my pregnancy. it took all my feelings and put them into words. the M.D. in this episode spoke to all my fears and thoughts i had swirling in my head. it was so helpful.

2. motherhood sessions: 'not cut out for motherhood' -- on this episode, a woman named leigh speaks to how she felt forced into motherhood. i was a little annoyed by her at first, but the hosts speaks to all of her feelings and annoyances and i really appreciated what she had to say. it was like listening in on a counseling session.

3. risen motherhood: 'traveling with kids: the adventure you didn't hope for' -- i really appreciated this episode. now that we have a baby, our traveling and vacations look different. i never really had thought about setting exceptions before traveling on vacation. now it's something caleb and i discuss before every trip and is a healthy conversation and overall just helps our marriage.

4. maculate conception: all episodes -- this is a fascinating podcast about a couple trying to conceive. they are going through the IVF journey and are very real and raw in their journey. it was helpful for me to learn how this works and also the emotional/exhausting/veryveryhard the process is. i teared up several times while listening. i appreciate the vulnerability of this couple.

5. birthful: this podcast has a plethora of information on birth stories and topics revolving around birth/newborn/motherhood. highly recommend for just general information on birth, postpartum, babies, mom support, etc.
