doctor appointments are strange.

baby check-ups are a strange phenomenon. 

while they're helpful to get answers to questions you've accrued over the weeks since you last made a visit to the doctor, they often are just used to size up your kiddo against 'the norm'.

percentiles and measurements can be helpful, and overall the doctor's office is a filled with great resources, but it can also leave me frustrated if it's determined there might be something wrong with my baby since he's not growing at the rate of lebron james. at the end of the day, i'm grateful for a healthy baby who's gummy smile brings me so much joy.
