lighting for our portland home
it's wild to think that in two months we'll have lived in portland for over two weeks. it feels like it's a lifetime away right now. but that hasn't stopped me from scheming up my design plans for our home.
i'm starting with light fixtures, oddly. i knew i wanted to add some color into the light fixtures, and then have all wall colors painted a bright white in the kitchen and dining area. the city of portland has a funky and eclectic vibe and i wanted to tap into that vibe for my design vision.
because we are renting, we'll be taking all of our light fixtures with us when we move out. however I still didn't want to splurge on lighting as this isn't a long term home. i had to figure out where i wanted to spend more money and where i wanted to spend less to accommodate for our budget.

i'm really excited about the idea of an all white kitchen with pops of fun colors. it's very different from our current kitchen which is all silver and white. i think it's going to be good!
